Summer Update 2008

I am finally getting the time to get up some spring/summer pictures that I have found on my camera that I have forgotten about as well as some of the stories that go with them. This summer for me has been very busy once again, with all the training and working and not having internet at home I do not have time to do my web updates.

This summer I have made it to the Eagle glacier twice which was very sweet. The second week I was up there, I was able to get in about 32 hours of training in eight days. It was sweet. Now I am bringing in a few more hard sessions to get my body into a little better race shape. I am currently in the best shape of my life I believe, but we still have a long time till it is time to race and many more interval sets to complete before I am free to race. How many more roads must I run down before I can call myself a man? who knows, but I think Bob Dylan had a song about something like that. Now for some pictures!

Holes in ice are always of interest, they kind of remind you of life sometimes when you don't know what is on the otherside but it must be fantastic and you want to do anything just to take a small look and see if you can keep going. Sometimes durring that small look you see something that makes you wonder about anything and everything all at once and reasses your entire life in one brief moment. I think at those small moments if you do not go and take that look, take that small chance when you feel it might go somewhere, you will miss out on some of the smaller beauties of life and then are always left wondering what could have been.

I am climbing the ice tower in Fox, by the time I got onto it, it was in a major meltdown, I believe I am the last one to climb on it the last spring, late april I think it was.
