Nov. 26, 2008- Skiing and Race Prep in Yellowstone

Well the skiing is not spectacular and the races are not totaly known. The training has been sufficient and we are feeling ready to race. We have been hoping to see some more snow this week, but it just has not arrived. On the good side the races seem to be on, they will just be about 1000 feet higher than the usual trails. The classic race on friday is supposed to be a quick 15k on an out and back course that is very flat. The skate race is still to be decided. I am feeling good when skiing, the snow is fast and it seems very warm out durring the days. We did some L4 intervals yesterday and they were a bit painfull but still fast and things feel in order.

Now I am a bit uncertain as to what is hapening for me next week, it is all depending on if Bozeman is able to get snowmaking under control well enough to build a 1km loop in town for a sprint on next tuesday. I am also looking into Soldier Hollow, where the word is that the snow is zero to zero on the trails and it is too warm to make snow. Hmmm... well now that I have things a bit better under control I should be able to update this a bit more. Here are a couple of pictures of the last couple of days.
